Douw Leadley is a founding member of the Motor Finance Corporation and as he says, ’Starting the business from scratch and being involved in virtually every aspect has been truly invigorating’.

He has enjoyed 25 years in banking, of which 20 have been dedicated to asset finance.

For Douw, MFC’s vision will always be to serve both customers and dealerships by offering smooth, frictionless finance - to continually pursue disruptive innovation and optimising the dynamics on the dealership floor by increasing value at every point of contact.

Christo started his banking career in 1974 and was fortunate enough to be exposed to all functions performed in the commercial banking environment. Christo first got involved in motor finance in 1980 when he joined Santambank, and later Bankfin. He joined Imperial Bank in 1998 as Credit and Risk General Manager and was instrumental in the establishment and growth of The Motor Finance Corporation.

Christo received a BComm degree from the Rand Afrikaans University and completed his MBL studies at Unisa School for Business Leadership. He also completed the Advanced Financial Management course at the University of Pretoria.

His passion is in the innovative creation of effective and efficient processes.  This involves electronic research, management approaches as well as financial modeling.
